Top 2025 Christmas Decor Trends You'll Want To Try This Season
Last year, I shared a blog post (and YouTube video) about Christmas decor trends — and many of you loved it. If you haven’t seen it yet, you can check it out here. A lot of those trends are still going strong this year, so it’s definitely worth a look.
But if you’re ready for something fresh, you’re in the right place!
I’ve put together the Top 2025 Christmas Decor Trends to inspire your holiday decorating this year too. So whether you’re planning a full holiday makeover or just adding a few festive touches, these trends will help you create a space that feels current, cozy, and stylish.
So, what exactly are Christmas decor trends? Simply put, they’re the styles, textures, color palettes, and themes you’ll be seeing everywhere this season – from store displays to social media. As always, I’ve done all the research and picked out 10 of the most exciting trends you won’t want to miss.
The biggest Christmas trend of 2025 (in my opinion) I saved for last – so be sure to scroll all the way through :-), and let’s jump right into it!
1. Disco Glam & Maxed-Out Metallics
The first trend that’s been gaining momentum over the past few years is all about going big with metallics, sparkle, sequins – basically anything that shines.

And I’m not just talking about a few glittery ornaments (those are Christmas staples, of course). This year, entire trees are being covered in metallics and sparkle from top to bottom. It’s a major trend right now!

One standout in this category? Disco balls. Yes – disco balls and everything disco-inspired are making a huge comeback like never before.

You’ll also see lots of shiny tinsel, metallic-colored trees, and designs fully decked out in gold, silver, champagne, or bronze.
These bold metallic looks are taking over — making Christmas trees shine brighter than ever.

2. Rich Jewel Tones: Burgundy, Emerald & Other Deep, Elegant Colors
The second trend is another big one — and it’s all about rich, beautiful jewel tones.
Think emerald green, sapphire blue, amethyst purple, ruby red, and especially burgundy — which is really standing out. These deep, velvety colors create a sophisticated, almost royal look that still feels warm and festive.

You can pair jewel tones with gold or brass accents to really make them pop, or keep it simple with a monochromatic palette using different shades of the same color. Either way, it’s a perfect choice if you want something a little different from traditional holiday decor, but still rich in seasonal charm.

So if you love the idea of your tree looking like it came straight out of a jewelry box – this trend is definitely for you!

3. Crystal Christmas Decor
The next trend is all about crystals – and it’s absolutely stunning!
Picture a Christmas tree covered in crystal ornaments, each one catching the light and adding that perfect, magical sparkle.

You can go all in with this look by using only crystal ornaments for a super cohesive, glamorous tree. Or, mix them with frosted glass and metallic accents for a layered, textured effect that really shines. Either way, this trend creates a gorgeous winter wonderland vibe – like your tree is dusted with frost or shimmering ice.

And crystals aren’t just for the tree. You’ll also see them in tabletop decor, candle holders, and those adorable little crystal Christmas trees.
It’s the perfect trend if you’re into that icy, luxurious aesthetic – elegant, festive, and a little bit magical.

4. Pink Christmas (Pinkmas): From Pastel to Bold
The next trend is definitely one of the standout themes this year — and if you saw my trends video last season, you know it was already a huge hit. But it’s not going anywhere. In fact, it’s only getting bigger: it’s the Pink Christmas trend – or as many are calling it, Pinkmas!
You’ll see pink decorations everywhere this season, from soft pastels to bold, vibrant shades.

One tree that really caught everyone’s attention was all-pink Christmas tree from Raz Imports – it’s a total showstopper and inspired so many people to embrace this look!

Fuchsia is especially popular right now, but you’ll find everything from soft blush to deep magenta. Whether you’re into a romantic, gentle look or a bright, playful style, there’s something for you.

Think pink ornaments, garlands, wrapping paper, tabletop decor – this trend is all about going all in and tying it together with one fun, cohesive color theme.

5. Woodland and Rustic Christmas Decor with Natural Elements
The biggest trend on my list last year was the Woodland and Rustic theme – and it’s definitely not going anywhere!
It remains one of the most popular choices for holiday decor, and honestly, I think it’s here to stay. There’s just something about the warm, calming, and cozy atmosphere it creates that feels so right during the holiday season.

This trend is all about earthy tones, natural materials, and rich textures. Think muted ornaments, pinecones, winter animals, rustic wood accents, velvet, and real-touch greenery.
You’ll find plenty of beautiful pieces in stores again this year.

It’s the complete opposite of the shiny, sparkly trends – so if you’re craving something peaceful, nature-inspired, and cozy, the Woodland and Rustic theme is the one to embrace.

6. Mushrooms
And to keep the nature theme going, I just had to include mushrooms again this year.
I got a lot of funny comments under last year’s video – because not everyone got the mushroom trend – but what can I say, it’s here to stay! And honestly, it seems like mushrooms are even more popular this year.

You’ll find them everywhere – in all kinds of colors and materials like wood, felt, ceramic, glittered, and even disco-mirrored mushrooms.
Some trees are even decorated entirely with mushroom ornaments! So of course, I couldn’t leave them off my list.

Whether you think they’re whimsical or just a little quirky, mushrooms are definitely making a big splash this season. So if you want something fun and different that still fits that woodland vibe, mushrooms are a perfect choice.

7. Pastel Candy Christmas Decor
The next trend that always finds its way to the top every year is the sweet treats theme.
Honestly, it’s hard to even call it a trend anymore – it’s become such a classic part of Christmas decor. But each year, certain treats seem to stand out more than others.

Last year, it was all about gingerbread – gingerbread houses, cookies, ornaments – everything! And of course, gingerbread and candy canes with their classic red and white stripes are still super popular this season, too.
But this year, I’m noticing more gumdrops, marshmallows, cupcakes, macarons, and all kinds of pastel-colored sweets stepping into the spotlight. You’ll see lots of candy-themed decorations in sugary pinks, baby blues, and mint greens.

It’s the perfect look if you’re going for something playful, colorful, and lighthearted.
So whether you’re sticking to the classic gingerbread style or going full-on pastel candyland, sweet treats will always be a delicious and fun way to decorate for Christmas.

8. Eco-Friendly and Sustainable Christmas Decor
The next big trend that’s been growing every year is the focus on sustainability and eco-friendly decorations.
More and more people are choosing to decorate in ways that are better for the environment – and this trend is definitely here to stay.

We’re seeing lots of beautiful paper decorations, like honeycomb ornaments, paper Christmas trees, snowflakes, and other festive shapes – all in lovely, modern designs that still feel timeless.

If you enjoy crafting and want to make some beautiful paper decorations yourself, I have a few tutorials and templates that can help!
Here’s what you can check out:

Aside from paper, you’ll also see lots of decorations made from other natural and eco-friendly materials like felt, wool, papier-mâché, straw, wood, and rattan.

These kinds of decorations have such a cozy, nostalgic feel – they remind me of childhood. There’s just something really warm and comforting about using natural materials during the holidays.

9. Ski Lodge & Chalet-Inspired Decor
This next trend started gaining attention the last few years — the ski resort theme! You’ll see tons of ski-inspired ornaments and cozy decor pieces in stores this season, and it’s easy to see why people are loving it.

It’s all about capturing that mountain retreat feeling at home. Think: mini wooden skis, ski lift ornaments, cozy blankets, rustic wood accents, and warm cabin-style touches that make your space feel like a dreamy winter getaway.
You can almost imagine yourself sipping hot cocoa by a crackling fireplace after a day on the slopes.

So if you love that cozy, alpine lodge vibe with just a hint of adventure, this trend is definitely one to try this holiday season!

10. Retro & Nostalgic Christmas
Alright, we’ve finally made it to what I think is the biggest Christmas trend of the year – Retro and Nostalgic Christmas!
This style is absolutely everywhere right now, and it’s taking over holiday displays and store shelves like never before.

We’re talking about those charming, old-school holiday vibes: think rosy-cheeked vintage Santas, glass figurine ornaments, and the classic red and green color combo with bold stripes, swirls, and lots of cheerful details.
You’ll see plenty of tinsel, snowmen, reindeer, elves, and other whimsical pieces that bring back the feeling of traditional Christmases from the past.

Every store seems to be featuring a variety of this nostalgic decor, and it looks like people are loving the idea of bringing a bit of that retro holiday magic into their homes.

It’s all about recreating that timeless and festive vibe, but with a modern twist. And I think this trend will definitely resonate with anyone who wants to capture the joy and warmth of those old Christmases, kind of like stepping into a classic holiday movie from decades ago.

And that’s a wrap on this year’s 2025 Christmas decor trends! I hope this list gave you some fun ideas to try out in your home this season. Whether you’re leaning into sparkle, nature, or a little nostalgia, there’s something for everyone.
